Introduction
The Maharashtra Legislative Secretariat (MLS) Digitalization Project aims to modernize and digitize the historical data, enhance IT infrastructure and improve the overall efficiency of the legislative processes. The project encompasses various tracks, including data digitization, IT infrastructure enhancement, library management, and the development of an AI-based information portal.

- Digitizing Historical Data:
- Document Digitization: Scanning, digitizing and indexing approximately 1.6 crore pages from the library and various departments.
- Audio/Video Digitization: Digitizing and indexing around 3800 hours of debates from 2013 onwards.

RFID-Based Library Management Solution
- Shell Management: Implementing anti-theft detection, self-check-in/out and easy inventory management.
- Library Automation: Using RFID technology to automate library operations, including tagging books and managing inventory.
- RFID Smart Cards: Issuing smart cards to library users for identification and transactions
Self Check-In / Check-Out Kiosk and Book Return Station
- Self-Check-In / Check-Out Kiosk: Allowing patrons to perform transactions independently, enhancing user experience.
- Book Return Station: Facilitating quick and flexible book returns with real-time check-in.
Library Experience Center
- Active LED Video Wall: Setting up a multi-user touch wall for interactive experiences.
- Virtual Tour: Providing a virtual tour of the library and other legislative areas.
- Non-IT Infrastructure: Setting up chairs, civil work, air conditioning, interiors, furnishing and lighting.
